Bermudian actor starring in Broadway

Bermudian actor Nick Christopher has officially started performing in Broadway's hottest production, the hugely acclaimed historical musical Hamilton.

With music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show about United States founding father Alexander Hamilton debuted in January 2015.

It has since won 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and is currently showing in the Great White Way. Broadway.com reports that Mr Christopher stepped in for Tony nominee Christopher Jackson on Tuesday to officially begin playing George Washington after covering the role in the summer. He is set to remain in the show through to the end of 2016.

Mr Christopher will also star as John in the forthcoming revival of Miss Saigon next March.

His other New York theatre credits include Lazarus, Whorl Inside A Loop, Motown The Musical, Rent and Hurt Village.
