Lindo’s supermarkets are launching “Discount Tuesdays” for seniors.

The initiative will give customers over the age of 65 a 5 per cent discount on cash sales, and 3 per cent discount for credit card sales on Tuesdays at both their Devonshire and Warwick stores. Customers will need to present valid photo ID to the cashiers.

Zach Moniz, Lindo’s Family Foods manager, said: “At Lindo’s we are dedicated to providing the best customer service and products in Bermuda.

“As a family business, we value our senior citizens and this discount lets us show our appreciation in a small, but hopefully in a meaningful way.”

The discount is not applicable to alcohol, cigarettes, magazines, pharmacy or seasonal merchandise items, he added.

The regular 5 per cent discount for all customers on Wednesdays will not be affected.
