Teenager stable in ICU

A teenager who was seriously injured after colliding with a car last week remains in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

The 18-year-old was rushed to hospital after the accident on North Shore Road near the junction with Store Hill in Smith’s at 3.45pm last Friday.

Meanwhile, a 48-year-old American visitor, who was injured in an unrelated accident on Christmas Eve in Warwick, is also in a stable condition in ICU.

The man was injured when the rental cycle he was riding struck the kerb on South Road near the junction with Ocean Sands Road at around 11pm.
