Police: No reports on taxi complaint

An anonymous message circulating on social media has alleged suspicious activity in Sandys — but no reports have been received by police.

According to a spokesman, the Bermuda Police Service has been made aware of a message suggesting that “a man driving a black taxi or minibus allegedly attempted to lure a boy with candy in the Sound View, Sandys, area on an unspecified date”.

The spokesman said that no reports had been received to substantiate the scenario. However, he added that any members of the public who have relevant information should contact police at 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
