A four-year-old boy remains in hospital after being struck by a truck while riding his bicycle in Sandys on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened on Seawall Drive, shortly after 5pm.

“The truck driver, neighbours and the child’s mother immediately came to the young boy’s aid, until EMTs arrived on scene a short time later,” police said.

The injured boy was taken to hospital in an ambulance with a head wound.

Today, police reported the boy had been moved from the Intensive Care Unit to a general ward and is in stable condition.
