Pedestrian, 67, injured in road accident

A 67-year-old man struck by a motorcycle in Pembroke over the weekend remains in hospital in stable condition, according to police.

The accident happened on Spanish Point Road, near Arlington Avenue, shortly after 4pm on Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a 39-year-old man, and the pedestrian, both from Pembroke, were transported to hospital as a result.

“At last check earlier this morning the pedestrian was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit while the rider had been treated and discharged,” police said in an update this afternoon.
