The Parliamentary Standing Committee on government accounts is to conduct public hearing on Thursday at St Paul Church Centennial Hall on Court Street.

A representative for financial assistance will discuss matters surrounding financial assistance provided over the 2016/17 fiscal year while Bermuda Hospitals Board's chief executive Venetta Symonds will discuss the financial reporting of the BHB over the four years from 2013 to 2017.

The Public Accounts Committee comprises Members of Parliament and is authorised by the House of Assembly to examine and report on matters relating to the accounts of the Government of Bermuda and, in particular, the findings reported by the Auditor-General in her annual report and other special reports.
