A lack of running water has prompted to closure today of the Transport Control Department and the Bermuda Emissions Control testing centre on North Street.

However a Government spokesman said this afternoon that both facilities are expected to reopen tomorrow.

“TCD will open at 8.30am while BECL will open at its normal time of 7.30am for early testing for cars and 8am for bikes,” the spokesman said.

“Those persons whose vehicles are expiring today can re-licence them online at www.etcd.gov.bm.”

Both facilities apologise for any inconvenience to customers.
