Last chance for AC information

Local residents will be given a final chance to get informed about the America’s Cup which gets under way in two weeks’ time.

America’s Cup Bermuda will host its last roadshow of information sessions next week in central, west and east locations.

The first session will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at St Paul AME Centennial Hall on Court Street, Hamilton. That will be followed by a session on Wednesday May 17 at the Dalton E. Tucker Primary School on Middle Road, Southampton and the last on Thursday, May 18 at Hanson Hall, BIOS (Bermuda Institute of Ocean Science), Ferry Reach.

“These information sessions will walk the audience through a range of topics, photos and videos to explain all you need to know to be part of the action and excitement of the 35th America’s Cup,” said an America’s Cup Bermuda statement.

“Subjects such as special theme days, what to expect when you’re at the America’s Cup Village, dedicated America’s Cup Village transportation, what to know about watching from the water, prohibited items — things not to take with you to the event, and how to support Bermuda’s own TeamBDA, the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup home team.”

The sessions start at 6.00pm and will run until 7.30pm.

In attendance will be the Bermuda Police Service and other community groups.
