Lamb Foggo Centre open on holiday

The Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre (UCC) in St David’s will be open from 4pm to midnight tomorrow — the Bermuda Day holiday.

However, the Bermuda Hospitals Board have advised that if a person’s condition is considered serious, they should go to the Emergency Department of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A spokeswoman pointed out that the St David’s facility had very limited diagnostic imaging (x-ray) and laboratory testing capabilities.

Meanwhile, people are advised “to drink lots of water to avoid dehydration. Runners and parade participants should also ensure they have comfortable supportive footwear to help avoid lower limb joint injuries.

“BHB also wishes to remind the public that emergency physicians attend to patients in the order of the severity of their condition.

“If you need to contact the UCC, call 298-7700. To contact King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Emergency Department call 239-2009.”
