Motorcyclist killed in North Shore Road crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on North Shore Road last night.

The single-vehicle accident happened near Bandroom Lane, Pembroke, at about 9.15pm, according to the Bermuda Police Service.

The victim, believed to be a 41-year-old Pembroke man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

North Shore Road was closed between Bandroom Lane and the Glebe Road while officers attended the scene, but was reopened shortly before 11.30pm.

It is the fifth death on Bermuda's roads this year.

Witnesses should call police on 247-1788.
