Biker treated in hospital

A motorcyclist was taken on hospital on Saturday evening after colliding with a garbage truck on Somerset Road in Sandys.

The accident took place at 11pm close to the Somerset MarketPlace.

The 33-year-old rider was treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Meanwhile on Friday morning police attended a two-vehicle crash on Middle Road in Paget.

The two trucks, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided close to Bostock Hill West at about 10.45am. Both vehicles were damaged but neither driver was injured.

Anyone with any information on either accident should call police on 295-0011.
