Somerset Cricket Club has been presented with a donation of $15,000 as part of the Government’s Cash Back for Communities initiative.

Senator Jeff Baron presented the club’s president Alfred Maybury with the donation yesterday.

The Minister of National Security hailed the club’s important role in supporting and developing Bermuda’s young people through their various sporting programmes.

He said Government was pleased to provide financial support to the club to help its community efforts.

The Cash Back programme is made possible through disbursements from the Confiscated Assets, whereby the proceeds of crime are provided to community organisations.
