Quin show shines inside

More than 250 people watched Catherine Quin unveil her new collection at the Hamilton Princess.

The fashion designer’s show was moved from the marina to the Trudeau Ballroom after she made the “difficult decision” to dodge potential rain.

Despite the last-minute adjustment, Ms Quin hailed the evening as “a huge success”.

“It transformed my original vision into something unexpectedly unique,” she said.

“The white geometric art installation, representative of deconstructed Bermuda roofs, merged beautifully with the traditional Bermudian aesthetic of the ballroom.

“I had a fantastic response from the audience and I’m thrilled guests got to experience my brand in such an interactive way.”

“It was an incredible honour to host my first show on my home turf of Bermuda,” added Ms Quin, who will be selling her line at the hotel’s FH boutique until June 21.

She said Selange Gitschner’s production was “seamless”. Ms Gitschner of Dasfete co-ordinated 27 models behind the scenes.
