The Bermuda Police Service hosted an Inter-Service BBQ Challenge, titled “King of the Grill,” at the Police Recreation Club in Prospect.

Six government agencies took part in the historic challenge last Saturday, which was attended by more than 300 guests, including Governor John Rankin and United States Consul General Mary Ellen Koenig.

Participants were the Department of Corrections, the Royal Bermuda Regiment, Bermuda Hospitals Board, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, US Customs and Border Protection and the Bermuda Police Service.

The Department of Corrections were crowned Kings of the Grill, with USCBP second and BHB third. The hot wing eating challenge was won by Shannon Trott, who was awarded a $100 gift voucher from sponsor, Rosa’s Restaurant.

All proceeds earned during the challenge will be shared between Special Olympics Bermuda and Family Centre.
