Clarien Bank to donate to relief effort

Hurricane Irma caused devastation across much of the Caribbean.

Clarien Bank has launched a donation drive to support recovery efforts in the Caribbean following the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma.

Donations can be made directly to the Bermuda Red Cross account at Clarien Bank. The funds will support Red Cross societies from around the world currently assisting with the multi-country relief and recovery efforts throughout the Caribbean region.

Clarien Bank CEO Ian Truran said: “Thousands of people throughout the Caribbean have been devastated by this catastrophic storm. It is my hope that the entire Bermudian community will join us by showing our collective support and donating to this important effort.”

Clarien Bank will match total donations up to $10,000. Donations may be made to the Bermuda Red Cross account (4010035760) via iBank online, in-branch via teller and quick deposit.

Mr Truran added: “We will not forget our friends in the Caribbean and want to help them by providing funds critically needed as they begin the difficult process of recovering and rebuilding.”
