Roadworks to cause diversions

Government said the roundabout at the junction of Frog Lane in Devonshire will close at 9.30am

The spokeswoman said: “As a result, Frog Lane will be closed from BFA Way to the roundabout, Parsons Road will be closed from Roberts Avenue to the roundabout and Montpelier Road will be closed from Happy Valley Road to the roundabout.

“The motoring public is encouraged to use alternative routes when travelling near this roundabout and to follow the area traffic notices in place.”

As a result of the temporary closure, the Number 9 bus will take an alternate route in the area.

Buses will travel along Parson’s Road as usual but turn left onto The Glebe Road, left on Bishop Spencer, right on Palmetto Road, right on Parson’s Lane, right on Old Military Road, right on Frog Lane, left on Palmetto Road, left on Bishop Spencer, right on The Glebe Road and right on Parson’s Road.

Part of Paget’s Harbour Road near the lower ferry stop will be closed for four hours on Sunday morning for resurfacing.

The work is set to take place between 7am and 11am.

The spokeswoman said: “The trench reinstatement works are being carried out by East End Asphalt Company.

“Area residents are encouraged to use the detour routes provided to access their properties while this section of Harbour Road is closed.”
