Billionaire entrepreneur guest at PLP gala
Michael Lee Chin, a Jamaican entrepreneur who has risen to become one of Canada's wealthiest businessmen, is to address the Progressive Labour Party's gala on November 18.
Mr Lee Chin, the president and chairman of Portland Holdings, is “widely regarded as a visionary entrepreneur”, a party statement said.
David Burt, the Premier, said: “His understanding of the business world and humble beginnings in Jamaica will surely make for a great speech at the upcoming gala.”
The black tie event is to be held at the Fairmont Southampton Resort, and will include an address by Mr Burt, presentations by longstanding party members, a silent auction, and live local entertainment.
