A cement truck driver injured in a rollover accident was today listed as “stable” in hospital.

The 41-year-old Southampton man was injured in a crash on Paget’s Seabright Avenue around 9am yesterday.

His truck slid down an embankment and came to rest on its side after the roadside verge crumbled.

A police spokesman said that roadside safety barriers had been installed along the affected section of road.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
