American YouTube star Casey Neistat has paid a flying visit to Bermuda.

Mr Neistat, a film-maker, vlogger, and cofounder of multimedia company Beme, has been posting videos of the island as well as photographs on his social-media accounts.

He has 1.7 million followers on Twitter and 2.9 million followers on Instagram.

A six-minute video, which picked up more than 1,200 likes in its first hour on Twitter, showed Mr Neistat and a friend on a South Shore Beach and enjoying a short stay at the luxury Loren Hotel.

Drone footage on the video also showcased Bermuda’s turquoise seas and rugged shoreline.

A YouTube video that included footage of the island as Mr Neistat compared different kinds of drones was viewed more than 280,000 times on the first day.

One of the photos he posted of himself on South Shore attracted more than 300,000 likes on his Instagram account.
