What a clown: Bello Nock puts on an impromptu performance for the students at CedarBridge Academy yesterday (Photograph by Akil Simmons)

Daredevil performer Bello Nock showed off his talents to CedarBridge Academy pupils in a sneak preview of his upcoming island performance yesterday.

Mr Nock said: “We’ve created a show that is basically the best acts and themes and moments of the shows I’ve done three different times on Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, the Staple Centre in downtown LA, or different parts around the world.

We have tried to cram them into 90 minutes and create a show that will be fun for everyone.”

The seventh-generation entertainer is in Bermuda as part of his Bello Mania Circus, which will perform at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium.

Mr Nock said the show was designed to have family appeal.

He added: “The greatest accolade is when four generations can laugh at the same joke.

“This show really is for the entire family, even the generation that’s 14 to 18 years old, that may think that it’s not cool.

“You’re going to see a crazy guy do some wonderful stunts, make you laugh and a little edgy, a little funny, a lot daring.”

Mr Nock was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for a high-wire walk over a cruise ship and has performed several stunts in New York City, including rappelling off Madison Square Garden.

He was also on the TV show America’s Got Talent last year.

Extreme stunts, juggling, music, storytelling and illusion are all part of the show, with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Mr Nock said he hoped to leave his Bermudian audience with “everlasting memories”.

He said: “They’re going to come, have a great time now, but a year from now, five years from now, they are going to be talking about it. I am really excited. This is my first time here to beautiful Bermuda.

“I’ve travelled the world my entire life and I have always heard how beautiful Bermuda is and how wonderful the people are.

“Words cannot describe how beautiful it is here and I’m really excited that we had this opportunity and took it.”

See Bello Mania on Thursday at 6.30pm, Friday at 7.30pm and Saturday at 11am, 3.30pm and 7.30pm. Purchase tickets on www.ptix.bm
