Press Release: Volunteer work saluted

The Bermuda office of Marsh and Guy Carpenter has been recognised for its charitable efforts in 2017 by Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., which named Bermuda among the top three countries for colleague volunteering along with Portugal and Taiwan.

Marsh and Guy Carpenter are wholly owned subsidiaries of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), a global professional services firm offering clients advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy, and human capital.

In 2017 Marsh and Guy Carpenter employees in Bermuda contributed 2,158 hours of their time to volunteer efforts and worked with more than 30 local charities and 58 per cent of Marsh and Guy Carpenter’s workforce in Bermuda participated. These charities included BFAB, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Eliza DoLittle Society, St. Baldrick’s, the Salvation Army and Relay for Life.

In addition, Marsh Bermuda employee, Karen Roberts-Ray, was the top individual volunteer out of 30,000 global colleagues at Marsh based upon her efforts with Cats Bermuda.
