Dombroski memorial Mass to be held tomorrow
American teenager Mark Dombroski is set to be remembered at a special Mass which will be held in Hamilton tomorrow.
Bishop Wesley Spiewak, of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton, said the church “shares the pain of the Dombroski family at the tragic loss of their son and brother”.
He added: “As their sisters and brothers in faith, we will celebrate a special memorial Mass as we gather in community to pray for the repose of Mark’s soul and to also ask God to grant comfort to his parents, siblings and friends.”
Bishop Spiewak added: “I invite as many of our people as possible to participate in this liturgy and to pray in solidarity.”
He said the service was open to “persons of other beliefs as well as non-believers”.
He added: “For those who cannot attend, please say a prayer for Mark’s intention.”
The service, which is scheduled to start at 12.15pm, will be held at St Theresa’s Cathedral on Elliott Street.
