YouthNet and The Reading Clinic are joining forces to bring you the deal of a lifetime: all for two very worthy causes! Two Charities, and two chances to win big in our first Do Good Together Raffle!

Up for grabs in this year’s raffle are two of the very popular Mazda CX3 Crossover SUVs, courtesy of Auto Solutions. The raffle prize also includes a Motor Insurance Voucher, courtesy of BF&M, as well as four vouchers for Auto Solutions’ new high-tech carwash, for each of the cars.

Tickets are $100 each, with all proceeds of the raffle going towards the two charities’ highly-successful youth programmes. The draw will take place at Auto Solutions, on 6th August, 2018, at 6PM.

Clare Mello, Executive Director of YouthNet said: “YouthNet and The Reading Clinic have worked over the years to unlock the potential in Bermuda’s youth; stemming from our shared belief that all young people possess strengths and abilities necessary to succeed in life.”

With over 70 years of combined experience working with young people in Bermuda, YouthNet and The Reading Clinic are developing new generations of responsible, educated and contributing members of society. Now, they’ve found a new way to pool their resources.

Ms. Mello continued: “This kind of fundraising partnership hasn’t been done before, in this way, but it makes a lot of sense, because we share many of the same goals, as well as many of the challenges when it comes to running a charity and fundraising. We’re always working hard to create new and innovative ways to raise funds, as well as to connect with donors and the wider community.

“And this raffle helps us to reach more broadly into the community with our message, meeting people and interacting with them on a one-to-one basis.”

With the raffle taking place over the Cup Match period, YouthNet and The Reading Clinic are planning an exciting twist, which they hope will ignite a little friendly rivalry. Ms. Mello explained: “We’re inviting raffle ticket buyers to indicate the Cup Match team they support when they buy their ticket. We’ll be keeping a tally of the sales, according to team support, and we’ll be letting everyone know whether the most charitable fans come from the east or the west!”

A fundraising effort this ambitious requires not only community buy in, but also supportive partners.

Glenn Faries, Executive Director of The Reading Clinic, said: “Our partners have been tremendously supportive. We’re very happy to have Auto Solutions on-board. They’ve been a long-term supporter of The Reading Clinic, and have really gotten behind this partnership. They understand that it’s all for a couple of really great causes. They’ve helped a lot to get this fundraiser off of the ground.”

The Do Good Together Raffle is a unique partnership between YouthNet, The Reading Clinic, and Auto Solutions. Funds from the raffle will assist in ensuring the financial sustainability of the two charities and their programmes.

Tickets will be available on Monday, 11 June, 2018. For more information about YouthNet, The Reading Clinic, and the Do Good Together Raffle, visit our website at dogood2gether.com.
