It’s going to be a Bermuda family affair when one of the Island’s most popular events returns for its third year.

The annual Made in Bermuda Festival will be held over the Labour Day weekend at venues including White’s Island, the Hamilton Princess and the Royal Naval Dockyard with a host of acts lined up to take part.

Headlining will be Grammy award winning Monica Brown – whose lead keyboardist, Dainavon Tuzo, is Bermudian and his father, Eugene ‘T’ Tuzo, is the lead bassist for the Wall Street Band, who anchored Made in Bermuda festival during its first two years.

Dainavon said: “It’s going to be great coming home to perform and maybe I might even get a chance to do some jamming with my Dad. There is nothing more special than performing in your own country in front of your own people and I know they are going to love Monica, she is sensational.”

The event is being organized by PinkSand Entertainment and its CEO Jonathan Tankard said: “We are excited that the festival has continued to grow into this our biggest year and to have Monica coming to Bermuda headlining alongside a Bermudian is fantastic.

“The Made in Bermuda festival showcases the talent of our local musicians from the developing artist to those reaching the heights of the music industry.”

Monica will be performing on September 1 and other acts lined up for the weekend are: The Wall Street Band, Live Wires; One SOULution; Olivia Hamilton; Sheila Smith; Brixx; Sinead the flower; B.L.A.C.; Tyler Wilson, DJ Chubb and DJ iBreeze.
