Education officials find new home in Hamilton

Education staff have found a new temporary home, it was announced this evening.

A Government spokeswoman said that the Ministry and Department of Education headquarters had been relocated to 44 Church Street in Hamilton.

She added that telephone service and e-mail were both operational at the new offices.

The announcement came a week after the education offices in St David's were shuttered.

The ministry refused to answer questions last week about the reasons for the closure.

A spokeswoman said at the time that the ministry would provide “updates in due course”.
