Head injuries to a baby are now being investigated by police.

The Bermuda Police Service confirmed yesterday afternoon that detectives were assisting in a Department of Child and Family Services investigation.

It comes after a boy, believed to be 12 months old, was admitted to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Friday night.

Police said the child was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but was later flown overseas by air ambulance for additional treatment.
