Van driver recovering after crash

A driver is recovering in hospital after his van overturned in a crash on North Shore Road.

The vehicle hit a wall near the junction with Radnor Estate Road, Hamilton Parish, yesterday, at about 4.40pm.

The victim, a 57-year-old St George's man, was extracted from the van and taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Today, he was on a general ward, where his condition was described as stable.

The incident led to traffic delays for about an hour. The damaged van was later towed away.

Witnesses should call police on 295-0011.
