Road crash caused delays on Friday

Two vehicles were damaged and towed away after a crash in Sandys.

Police said a car travelling east in the Scaur Hill area of Somerset Road crashed with another car exiting Lantana Road at about 7.20pm on Friday.

The eastbound vehicle hit a wall and went over an embankment.

Emergency crews attended but no one was hurt.

Both cars and the wall were damaged and traffic was diverted for about 90 minutes until the vehicles were towed away.

Police appealed for witnesses to call 295-0011.
