Elderly woman recovering after crash

An 88-year-old woman seriously hurt in a crash last month is now recovering on a general ward at hospital.

The victim, from Southampton, spent about three weeks in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after the incident on Middle Road, Warwick, on November 20.

Police said today she has been moved to a general ward, where she was said to be in a stable condition.

The crash happened near the junction with Riddell’s Bay Road, when her car collided with another car and a van being driven in the opposite direction at 9am.

The male driver and two passengers of the other car involved were uninjured, although all three vehicles were damaged.
