Overseas internships up for grabs
Three students are to get overseas internships in Bermuda's offices around the world.
The Cabinet Office has asked for applications for summer posts in London, Washington DC and Brussels.
A Cabinet Office spokeswoman said: “Successful applicants will provide administrative, research and general assistance in a range of relevant work projects, as needed, to the representative offices.
“The salary will be $1,000 a week with airfare and accommodation to the respective overseas office.”
She added the successful candidates will work under the direction of the Secretary to the Cabinet.
The internships — available to students working on Master's degrees — will run from June 3 to August 30.
Preference will be given to students studying international relations, political science, economics, finance or related disciplines.
Applicants should also be able to communicate effectively, be computer literate and work “at a high level of decorum”.
Candidates must also be Bermudian and have a valid passport — plus a UK passport for the London or Brussels positions.
Applications should be addressed to 2019 Summer Internship Programme (Overseas Offices).
Supporting documentation must be included with the application, which can be e-mailed to tnsmith@gov.bm, hand-delivered or mailed to the Cabinet Office for the attention of the Secretary to the Cabinet.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on March 29.
