Woman, 85, hurt in crash

An 85-year-old woman who drove her car into a wall is recovering in hospital.
The car was damaged in the accident on South Road, Smith's, at 10.15am on Tuesday. Traffic diversions were in place for about an hour.
The victim, from Smith's, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was yesterday said to be “stable” on a general ward.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
