Police announce latest round of checkpoints

Roadside breath-test checkpoints will be in effect in six parishes from next Thursday through the Bermuda Day holiday weekend.

The Bermuda Police Service announced that the checks will be in Hamilton, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton parishes through to Sunday, May 26.

Police also announced that the 52-year-old male motorcyclist injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash at the north roundabout near Trimingham Road in Paget last Sunday evening has been discharged from hospital.

The man received treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to call Constable Lakila Hart on the main police telephone number 295-0011.
