A missing Devonshire woman was found alive and well after a police search at Spittal Pond Nature Reserve yesterday.

Her vehicle was discovered in the morning in the car park at the eastern end of the reserve.

The K9 unit, a marine unit and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources were involved in the hunt for the 44-year-old.

Parish Constables joined the search, along with Brandon Morrison, the president of Bermuda Aerial Drone Flyers.

She was discovered by a staff member from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources under an area of rock near the landmark known as Portuguese Rock shortly after 2pm.

The woman had been missing from her family since last night and was reported missing to the police this morning.

The search took three hours, with police chaplain Reverend Kevin Santucci on scene to give support to her family.

A police spokesman said she was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for assessment.
