End-to-End seeks charities
Charities are being asked to submit applications for donations from the 2020 End-to-End.
The focus will again be on the Bermuda Family and applications are being sought from charities that will address seniors basic needs and support services; youth enrichment opportunities to help overcome negative social issues and families support services for physical and emotional trauma and health.
Anne Mello, the End-to-End Board Chair, said: “We believe that resilient families are the foundation of a strong, healthy community.
“Some members of our Bermuda families are facing difficult challenges and our goal is to help them overcome some of these obstacles through our financial support.”
This year, four charities each received an unexpected bonus after the event raised an extra $60,000.
It meant that WindReach, Age Concern, Friends of Hospice and Raleigh Bermuda each received a check for $45,000 - $15,000 more than originally anticipated.
Mrs Mello added: “It is a huge pleasure to be able to support Bermudian charities that help local people in need.
“Planning for the 33rd End-to-End has already started and I would urge people to again support us in 2020.”
The deadline for receipt of all submissions is Monday, September 30, 2019 at 5pm. The full RFP is being distributed via the Centre on Philanthropy and can be viewed here: http://www.bermudaendtoend.bm/2020-bermuda-end-end-grant-application/
