Pembroke woman dies

A woman died despite life-saving attempts by a relative and emergency teams on Thursday evening.

Police, fire service and ambulance crews were called to a home in Cheriton Lane, Pembroke, at about 8.55pm.

They found a 52-year-old woman who was receiving CPR from a family member.

Police and the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service joined in the life-saving efforts, a BPS spokesman said yesterday, and the woman was rushed by ambulance to Kind Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The spokesman added: “Sadly, the woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital.”

He said no more information will be released until next of kin are aware.

The spokesman explained: “There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a cause of death is being examined.”
