The Department of ICT Policy & Innovation has launched the 2019 IT Career Guide for students seeking a career path in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Premier the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, was presented the first printed copy by the Director of ICT Policy & Innovation, Dr. Marisa Stones.

“The Bermuda Government, through the Department of ICT Policy & Innovation, knows how important technology is and consistently promotes initiatives that encourage innovation through technology, e-skills development and e-entrepreneurship,” said Premier Burt. “This is a valuable resource for our young people. They can use this guide to decide what they want for their future and how they can achieve it.”

The theme of the 2019 IT Career Guide is Cybersecurity: Shaping the future of cyber defence in Bermuda. It offers information on Cybersecurity standards, technology solutions to environmental problems, securing devices and the Internet of Things (IoT), skills that companies are looking for as well as profiles of IT professionals.

The Guide also provides information for those who are thinking about exploring ICT as a career path; IT scholarships, IT University course specialisations, international computer science programmes and ranking computer science universities.

Limited printed versions will be distributed to local school counselors to assist students. To obtain a copy of the guide electronically please click here
