Police officer suspended
A police officer was suspended with pay yesterday “in relation to ongoing discipline matters”, the Bermuda Police Service said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Darrin Simons said: “Please be reminded suspension is never a finding of guilt.
“Rather, having regard to the nature of the allegation, consideration of restricted duties, the need for an effective investigation and the public's interest, [it] is the appropriate course of action in the circumstances.”
A BPS spokesman added that no further details or names will be released because the investigation is ongoing.
