Hayward gives back to youth on birthday
Jason Hayward decided to “give back” on his birthday, donating funds to youth programmes in his constituency.
The Minister of Labour donated $5,000 each to North Village Community Club, Western Stars Sports Club and the Young Men's Social Club, all of which are in Pembroke Central.
Mr Hayward, who turned 38 on Monday, told The Royal Gazette: “I have been affiliated with each of the clubs at some time in my life and I felt it would be a good gesture on my birthday to give back to the clubs.
“I played football for North Village Community Club and Western Stars Sports Club, and my twin sons, Jabri and Jabari, play cricket for Young Men's Social Club.
“I've decided to use my birthday to give back. Last year I donated a full body massage to all of my staff members at BPSU at a spa of their choice.”
As well as announcing the deed on his Instagram page, @jasonhaywardjpmp, he also wrote: “Another year of life and I thank the Lord for all of the opportunities He has provided.”
