BAA set to join Cougars

Having already clinched promotion Devonshire Cougars set about securing the Daihatsu Second Division title with yesterday's home win keeping that goal alive.

However, Cougars reverted to Dale Russell for their response as the veteran first sent home the equaliser from the penalty spot before `sealing the deal' moments later with a more conventional effort.

There were numerous off-the-ball incidents for referee Peter Sousa to deal with and one such occurrence resulted in the dual ejection of Devon Brangman of Cougars and Prospect's Robin Hollinsid for fighting.

Also aiding in the carnage were goalkeeper Phillip Bolton who netted a penalty while two more came from substitute Alan Dill.

The Green Knights require just two points or the combination of a draw and any droppage of points by third place Wolves to assure them of promotion.
