Kris Hedges, Trevor Hedges, Tyler Butterfield and Jonathon Herring will attend the week-long Carpenter/Phinney Bike Camp -- subtitled the "Go Fast! Camp'' -- one of a series of camps for serious racers looking to improve their performance.

Butterfield and Herring are already in the area, currently taking part in the Dave Scott Triathlon Training Camp.

They'll be joined in Boulder on the weekend when the Hedges brothers fly out from Bermuda.

All four have risen to place among the top riders on the Island over the past year, emerging from the Bermuda Bicycle Association's junior programme.

Throughout the week, they will be coached in improving the technical aspects of their riding; factors such as riding dynamics, bike control, riding style and efficiency.

The camp also involves off-bike topics such as training, injury prevention, nutrition and flexibility, featuring speakers such Dr. Massimo Testa -- former Motorola team physician -- leading cycling physiologist Ed Burke and Leonard Zinn, technical editor of cycling publication Velo News.

Next week, Kris Hedges, Bermuda's best junior cyclist and a top triathlete in his own right, shifts to Boston, where he will join American Dave Carlson and Bermuda coach Greg Hopkins in preparation for October's World Junior Cycling Championships in San Sebastian, Spain.
