A road race with a difference takes place tomorrow when Swan's Running Club team up with Southampton Rangers Sports Club to put on a five mile handicap
Starting at 9.00 a.m. from the Southampton club, the race will see the slowest runners take off first followed by the fastest.
Handicaps will be given to each runner depending on their estimated five mile time -- the maximum handicap being 15 minutes.
Among the entries is former six-time May 24 Marathon winner Ed Sherlock. Late entries will be accepted up until the start.
Mid Atlantic Athletic Club voted in new executive officers at a poorly attended annual general meeting held on Wednesday evening.
Club president Anna Eatherley stepped down to be replaced by Kim Mason who was elected unopposed.
Vice president Stephen Lund and treasurer Andrew Doble agreed to serve another term but secretary Margaret Hateley resigned her position and was replaced by Eatherley.
