Berkeley were led by captain Bismillah Sharrieff and they dominated from start to finish.

Seven teams participated in the tournament, which was sponsored by Bermuda Restaurants Ltd. In preliminary round-robin action Mount St Agnes (MSA) won their pool convincingly with three wins from three matches.

The other three-team pool ended in a three-way tie with all three teams finishing with a win and a loss. To determine who would go through to the semifinals against MSA and Warwick Academy, the organisers calculated points scored against each team. Berkeley came out on top followed by Chaffee. Hosts Saltus were eliminated from further competition.

In the first semifinal Warwick Academy played Berkeley in a very close game with only seconds remaining on the clock before Berkeley scored to win the game by one point.
