Benning took the early initiative and never released his grip as he surged to a six and five victory.

Earlier in the day Benning defeated Dave Parsons of the Channel Islands, while Crombie ousted Britain's Andy Robinson.

Robinson on Wednesday eliminated Bermudian Quinn Talbot in the first round, but could not duplicate that form yesterday.

Talbot is expected home late next week after spending some time in London. He is currently awaiting word of a possible invitation to an upcoming tournament in South Africa.
