Adams was reportedly admitted after complaining of problems with his tonsils incurred during an afternoon flight to Bermuda from the United States.
An operation to correct the defect was said to be a possibility and Adams was to be kept overnight for further evaluation.
The 21-year-old North Village product made headlines earlier this week when he was one of three young players suspended for failing to attend training sessions, with a decision on the length of the ban pending.
