BPSA came from 5-4 down in the doubles to beat Bermuda College in Thursday night's best Bank of Butterfield League match.

It was the first time that Rawle Frederick has come up against his former team-mates, so the loss had to be particularly disheartening.

Frederick spirited the College to their early, but slender, lead with three victories, including a tense struggle with Brian DaSilva.

But DaSilva won his other two matches and Monique Ternier, the only female in the league, continued to impress with two wins as well.

After DaSilva and Derek Dillas scored a shocking three-game win over Frederick and Chris Graham-Ward the die was cast for the home team to walk away with the spoils.

DaSilva and Ternier were comfortable winners over Frederick and young Jaymo Durham in the decisive match.

Elsewhere, Cleveland picked up their first win of the season as they handily beat Social Club 9-2.

Southampton Princess claimed a major scalp away from home as they beat Hamilton Parish II 6-5.

Despite Parish's Roddy Masters winning three singles matches, Princess prevailed as Kingsley Burchall and Donovan Livingston each won twice. The tie was settled in the second doubles with Burchall and Livingston beating Masters and Terry Smith in straight games.

Eastern Stars recorded their seventh win against no losses with a 7-4 decision over two-man Wolves. Dexter Smith went unbeaten and Stars won both doubles.

Derrick Burrows and Kevin Lapsley each had two wins for Wolves over Mansfield Smith and Perry Swan.

BAA blanked two-man West Indian Association 11-0 with Nick Frost, Mike Lindo and Roland Lines doing the honours.
