The good news is that he and new crew Kai Bjorn were still in third spot overall among the 63 boats entered in the 70th annual Star class event.
"We're still in the hunt,'' said Bromby last night. "We just need two good races (today and tomorrow).'' Winds yesterday were 7-10 miles per hour, he said. Despite their first day without a win, Mark Reynolds and defending champion Magnus Liljedahl continue to lead the competition, with John McCausland and crew Phil Trinter second.
Bromby/Bjorn have 20 points after four races, eight behind MacCausland and ten back of Reynolds.
