race for honours should begin to take shape.

The standings after two matches show some surprises, with the likes of league champions St. George's, Western Stars and Devonshire -- three of the four teams in next weekend's Camel Cup -- still to break into stride.

Bailey's Bay, Cleveland and Willow Cuts have been first out of the starting blocks and are the only three teams with perfect records from two matches. At the other end of the standings Somerset Bridge and Nationals have lost both of their opening matches.

League champions St. George's, still without a win in their first two matches, are at home both today and tomorrow, starting with a clash against another winless team, Somerset Bridge, and then following up with a tougher contest against Cleveland.

Cleveland start their `double-header' with a home match against improving St.

David's today at Sea Breeze Oval.

Willow Cuts have probably the toughest two matches of the top teams, entertaining unpredictable Police today at Somerset Cricket Club and following up with an equally tough away match against Western Stars tomorrow.

Bailey's Bay, with two comfortable wins under their belt, meet Knockout Cup victims Nationals today for the second straight match before taking on Social Club tomorrow. By Sunday evening they should still have their perfect record intact.

Some teams are traditionally late starters and for that reason St. George's, Devonshire and Stars -- without a win between them in the league -- cannot be ruled out of the championship race. All three should change that this weekend, with Devonshire taking on Flatts today and Somerset Bridge tomorrow while Stars should get a win against Warwick today.

The top matches today should be at Sea Breeze Oval where Cleveland take on St.

David's and at Somerset CC between Cuts and Police. The Hamilton Parish-Somerset encounter at Shelly Bay field between two struggling teams could go either way.

Tomorrow, there are also two interesting match-ups, with Stars at home to Willow Cuts and St. George's entertaining Cleveland.
