Darrell sticks with winning team

unchanged team for the second leg of the World Cup qualifying match with Haiti on Sunday, meaning no places in the starting team for either college student Neil Paynter or former captain Dennis Brown.

Paynter was expected to be named in a midfield role in a 4-4-2 formation but Darrell says he'll stick with the 4-3-3 he used in the first match with Haiti last month.

"I don't think we need to start off looking to be in a defensive mode,'' Darrell said during a training session at the National Stadium. "Bringing in Dennis or Neil would mean making adjustments. We'll go with 4-3-3 with the option of switching to 4-4-2 if they make adjustments and play with two strikers.'' Scoring an early goal would put Bermuda firmly in control and Darrell admitted: "I'm still toying with whether we go after them in the first 15 minutes or look to contain them to see what adjustments they may have made.

We've still got three or four days to decide on that.'' The team arrives in Haiti tomorrow afternoon and Darrell is hoping to put his team through about four sessions, one tomorrow evening and two on Friday. He has requested the team be allowed to train at the Sylvio Cator Stadium on Friday evening and again on Saturday.

Team: Dwayne Adams, Kevin Grant, Leroy Stevens, Shawn Smith, Voorhees Astwood; Meshach Wade, Kentoine Jennings, Kenny Thompson; Sammy Swan, Kyle Lightbourne, Shawn Goater.
