Despite the one-sided score the teams remainded competitive for a long period with both teams rolling their top series for the season, the champions contributing 3076 and Gosling 2829. They also rolled the top team games for the night, 1038 and 1001 respectively.

Individually it was the consistent team effort with Antoine Jones taking the top series of 664 and teammates Conrad Lister finishing with a 628 and Dean Lightbourn on 625 for the winners while Oscar Andrade was tops for the losers.

Marlboro moved into second place with a 25-5 win over Terminators by virtue of their win and the defeat by Goslings. Rick Lines was the top bowler for Marlboro while Steven Wales' 601 series was high for the losers.

Thompson's maintained fifth spot by a mere one half point despite their 19-11 loss to Stevedoring Services. Noel Pearman had the second high game of 251 with Carson Bean having a top series to pace the losers. Casey Burgess had a third high game and series of 236 and 627.

In another tight match, score-wise but not in points, New Mix Ups defeated Signature Card 21-9. Jue Vanlow delivered the big blow with his fourth high game of 234 to lead the winners while Clyde Burgess was high for the losers.

The final match had Spoilers defeating Team Spirit 26-4 with Dudley Brown tops for Spoilers while Vernon Daniels led Team Spirit.

Antoine Jones had a 703 high series and high games of 246, 244 and 213 to lead Pembroke Juniors to an easy 23-4 victory over Social Club in recent action in the Barritt's Sportsmen's League.

Teammate Dean Lightbourne also assisted with a second high series of 637 and fourth high game of 228. Howard Francis led Social Club with a third high game of 234.

Kevin Minors had a third high game of 236 and third high series of 631 but Buy and Sell still could not prevent Sparks from scoring a 151 -111 victory.

Steve Wales had a 616 series as Mini Forwarders beat Warwick Reds 20-7. In the other game Warwick Whites beat Young Blood 17-10.

ROAD RUNNING RUN Entries are pouring in for tomorrow's King Edward Memorial Hospital's three-and-a-half mile run and walk which is billed as part of their centennial celebrations.

Peggy Couper, director of the event, early yesterday evening said that 150 men, women and children had indicated their intention to run and estimated that the final number should be well above 200.

"Everybody seems to be keen to participate, we've got a tremendous repose for the walk as well with a number of juniors coming along with their parents to participate,'' said Couper. " It's should be a good day to help us celebrate both fitness and health.'' The walk will begin at 9a.m. and the run will follow at 9.30 a.m.

All participants are asked to be at the entry of the old hospital on Point Finger Road at least 30 minutes before the start.

The event will be sponsored by New Winner's Edge.

FISHING FSH Bermuda's Crayton Greene stood third after three days of fishing in the Key West Invitational Light Tackle Tournament while his team, Bermuda Chubs, were second in the team category.

Greene accumulated 10,240 individual points to help Bermuda Chubs to a team total of 18,240, which trailed only the whopping 22,520 posted by American group, Big Giants. Third was the three-day mark was Freeport Fishing Club II with 16,600 points.

Meanwhile, aiding Greene was partner Stuart Grayston with 8,000 points, good for ninth overall in the 26 member field.

Leading the individual standings was Leonard Ellis (11,320) followed by Roger Kisner (11,200).

Two other Bermuda outfits, Bermuda Onions, with Cyril Cooper (6,560) and Keith Winter (4,960) and Bermuda Anglers Club, made up of Danny Fox (5,600) and Bobby Rego (3,680) were placed much further down the fleet in ninth and 11th respectively with totals of 11,520 and 9,280 heading into the final day.

DARTS DRT Vasco I and Nationals I will meet in a play-off at BAA on Monday night to decide the winners of the Bermuda Dart Association's First Division. The game starts at 8.30.

As a result the league has announced that both tonight's scheduled Secretary's Trophy competition and Monday's Grand League final has been postponed.

Another tie occurred with White Horse and BAA III finishing deadlocked on 74 points and their play-off will be at Nationals on Monday at 8.30 p.m. as well to decide the winners of the Third Division.

SOFTBALL SOF The Bermuda Amateur Softball Association will be having its annual general meeting on Monday at Warwick Workmen's Club starting at 7 p.m. All clubs are asked to send at least one representative.
